Ireland Walker, Communications Manager

Ireland is the Communications Manager at Captivate Wellness. She produces, edits, and hosts The Captivate Standard podcast, and maintains its digital aspects online. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University after studying Broadcast and Digital Journalism. Before joining Captivate, Ireland worked as a television newscaster and fill-in news anchor at News10 ABC in Albany, N.Y. With a passion for meaningful connection, Ireland has spent years discovering the best ways to reach her community. Taking a page from her alma mater, she strives to bring people together across generations and now, at Captivate, she extends that connection through sharing a holistic approach to health and wellness. She believes true well-being comes from caring for the whole person, and she is dedicated to keeping the community healthy by educating and empowering others in ways that align with Captivate’s mission and values.
